Important Update: Drive Clean Rebate Program Closed.

Funding for the District's Drive Clean in the San Joaquin - Rebate Program, has been exhausted.

Due to high demand in the District’s Drive Clean in the San Joaquin - Rebate Program, the District will no longer accept new applications after 3:00 PM on October 24, 2025. Applications received on or prior to 3:00 PM on October 24, 2025 closure will continue to be processed. San Joaquin Valley residents who have purchased a qualifying vehicle have up to 18 months from the date of purchase to submit an application for a rebate. Therefore, should additional funding become available, residents may still be eligible to apply for a rebate at that time.

Maximum Rebate: Up to $3,000 depending on the vehicle purchased.

Vehicle Type Incentive
Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFC) up to $3,000
Battery-electric vehicles (BEV) up to $2,000
Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) up to $1,000
Natural gas (NG) vehicles rated as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero-emission Vehicle (AT PZEV) up to $1,000
Natural gas (NG) vehicles rated as a Super Ultra-low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) up to $750
Zero-emission motorcycles (ZEM) up to $500
