Prescription burn fees apply to anyone who is required to submit a Smoke Management Plan pursuant to Title 17, Subchapter 2, Smoke Management Guidelines for Agricultural and Prescription Burning of the California Code of Regulations. Per District Rule 3160 – Prescribed Burning Fee, the current fee rate is:

Broadcast and Pile Burning
The assessed fee equals the total acreage burned over the previous year, minus 40 acres per property owner, and multiplied by the applicable fee rate.
